Informal Gatherings of Our Members
We regularly organize networking events to provide startup enthusiasts with opportunities to get to know each other in an informal setting and build friendly relationships. Such events include quiz nights, volleyball cup, goulash cooking competitions, community breakfasts, and afterwork meetups.
We believe in making friends, not contacts.
Startup Grind is the world’s largest community of startups, founders, innovators, and creators. The goal of this project is to provide education and opportunities to startups worldwide, enabling them to build, grow, and scale their companies. Since October 2023, we have once again brought these community events to Slovakia in the form of fireside chats, discussions, and startup parties.
Business accelerator for startups from V4 region
The V4 Startup Force program is a business accelerator funded by the International Visegrad Fund and is a joint effort of Design Terminal and its partner organizations including Campus Cowork, Startup Hub Poland and DEX Innovation Centre. During the program, startups get first hand feedback from the market to see if they’re ready to take the next step and enter the V4 market, gain invaluable contacts, personalized mentoring, and access to potential business clients.
Startup competition
Launched in 2014, the Central European Startup Awards has since grown to span 18 countries to become the region’s biggest no-pitch no-conference startups festival with the aim to inspire, stimulate and recognise entrepreneurship throughout Central Europe whilst connecting a community of startup enthusiasts to an entire ecosystem of collaborators and supporters at all levels. CESA is part of the worldwide startup competition, Global Startup Awards. The event is about celebrating the change-makers and industry disruptive nomads who dare to challenge the status-quo and endure bumpy roads and failures until finally realizing their dream.
Educational festival for young people in the field of entrepreneurship
The first educational festival for youth in Bratislava, focusing on topics such as mental health, entrepreneurship, civic participation, education, and inclusion. The event took place under the auspices of the mayor of the capital city. The goal of the event was for participants to understand the challenges we face as a society today and collectively explore activities we can undertake to create a sustainable future.
Business speed dating
A series of business speed dating events where professionals from the Slovak startup ecosystem have the opportunity to talk and guide young talents in their careers or entrepreneurship. Young people get the chance to meet and converse with their potential future personal or business mentor, gaining a closer insight into the Slovak business ecosystem.
Fast and modern solutions to provide better quality digital services for citizens
Thanks to the unique project under the brand hacknime.to, from the workshop of the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development, and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, we connect and build a community of creative TECH individuals whose solutions in simplifying public administration processes and improving the quality of provided digital services positively impact our lives as citizens. The project is funded through the resources of the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Stories written by the experiences of young and successful individuals
A platform (primarily) for young people at the beginning of their careers who are seeking opportunities for growth and learning new things. They aim to kickstart their own business or gain professional experience. The goal is to highlight the initial steps they can take today to lead them to where they want to be tomorrow. Zero2Hero also offers various educational opportunities and programs that can help people to start their entrepreneurial journey.
Podcast – stories of unicorns and sharks
They had an idea and a vision, courage, and good timing, but sometimes they also needed a bit of luck and a stroke of coincidence. Today, they run large companies with multi million turnovers, but they had to work hard for it. Business stories of founders of companies that have become love brands in Slovakia and are now known worldwide. What unites them? The mentality… mentality of a founder.
